Small-x Physics beyond the Kovchegov Equation *

چکیده

We note the differences between the Kovchegov equation and the BalitskyJIMWLK equations as methods of evaluating high energy hard scattering near the unitarity limit. We attempt to simulate some of the correlations absent in the Kovchegov equation by introducing two boundaries rather than the single boundary which effectively approximates the unitarity limit guaranteed in the Kovchegov equation. We solve the problem of BFKL evolution in the presence of two boundaries and note that the resulting T -matrix now is the same in different frames, which was not the case in the single boundary case. The scaling behavior of the solution to the Kovchegov equation is apparently now lost.

Towards the test of saturation physics beyond leading logarithm.

We present results from the first next-to-leading-order (NLO) numerical analysis of forward hadron production in pA and dA collisions in the small-x saturation formalism. Using parton distributions and fragmentation functions at NLO, as well as the dipole amplitude from the solution to the Balitsky-Kovchegov equation with running coupling, together with the NLO corrections to the hard coefficie...

High Energy Evolution beyond the Balitsky - Kovchegov Equation

x 2 02 x 2 12 . These two dipoles then interact with the target. The non-linear term takes into account a simultaneous interaction of two produced dipoles with the target. The linear part of Eq. (1) is the LO BFKL equation, which describes the evolution of the multiplicity of the fixed size color dipoles with respect to the rapidity (energy) y. For the discussion below we introduce a short nota...

evolution equations in QCD † Anna

The following lectures are an introduction to the phenomena of partonic saturation and nonlinear evolution equations in Quantum Chromodynamics. After a short introduction to the linear evolution, the problems of unitarity bound and parton saturation are discussed. The nonlinear Balitsky-Kovchegov evolution equation in the high energy limit is introduced, and the progress towards the understandi...

We introduce a Wilson line distribution function W τ (v) to study gluon saturation at small Feynman x F , or large τ = ln(1/x F ). This new distribution can be obtained from the distribution Wτ (α) of the Color Glass Condensate model and the JIMWLK renormalization group equation. W τ (v) is physically more relevant, and mathematically simpler to deal with because of unitarity of the Wilson line...
